Staying Warm

23 Jan

It’s officially freezing in Cincinnati. Luckily, I’m typing this by the fireplace, relieved I don’t have to be outside. My hair gets obnoxiously dry when it’s this cold out. I could be having a good hair day, then go outside and it’s immediately stringy and easily breakable. I’ve also been having some major static issues when I put on all my winter layers. My hair will look like I just got electrocuted, and I get so frustrated! If you can’t tell, I get extremely irritated when my hair isn’t working with me, and when it gets to that point there isn’t much else I can focus on.

I managed to suck it up for a few minutes to take pictures of my outfit, but if this weather continues, I may have to hibernate inside for the time being. I love my chambray shirt, because it can literally be worn in any season. I loved dressing it up a bit by adding a faux fur vest and some jewelry. Also, these Alfani booties I just got at Macy’s are so comfortable, I sometimes forget they even have a heel!

If you are experiencing the same weather as me, I feel your pain (and frostbite). In the meantime, I will be reminding myself that Spring is only a few short months away!

I love the casual chambray shirt with the dressier black pants and fur vest. It makes for a nice juxtaposition
