Pop of Pink

22 Mar

I feel like I’ve been in a total rut lately. I’m one of those people who’s always cold, so this winter has felt extra long to me. I was getting tired of the dreary weather, which was starting to impact my outfit choices. I was getting to the point where I would look at my closet, and feel totally uninspired by everything in it. After a few weeks of this rut, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went to the mall, determined to get myself out of this funk and into some new spring clothes. First stop: J.Crew (duh). Like usual, I could have easily spent the entire night in here. Sometimes I fantasize about getting trapped in the mall, and spending endless hours alone in J.Crew. I’d probably leave with one of everything. If you can’t tell, I consider this store my “happy place”.

Anyway, the bright colors all around me were an instant mood lifter. I bought this bright pink sweater, a neon pink gingham, and  a pair of bright green pants. I also got a pair of mint pants from Forever 21, adding to the pink and green theme of the shopping trip. Needless to say, I am out of my winter rut and ready for spring! Sometimes a shopping trip is the perfect way to lift your spirits and give you some inspiration. Now only if this weather would warm up…

I know what you mean, I’m always cold too! Thankfully Spring seems to peeking through here in Frankfurt.

That’s good! It’s supposed to snow here this weekend, so it looks like I’ll have to wait for spring a little longer.

I’m OBSESSED with those pants! If i were a littttte bit thinner I’d rock those! Awesome outfit! Great Colors! I love getting your daily posts! Who takes you pics for you? Also, do you do pick all your outfits for the week and do do all the pics at one time or do it daily? (so many questions, I know)

I’m sure they’d look great on you! I actually think they’re a bit slimming, too! I’m so glad you like my posts, that is the nicest compliment! My mom takes all my pictures for me. As for when I take my pictures, it changes a lot. Sometimes I’ll do a few outfits at once, and other times I have to get in a quick outfit photo shoot when I have time. I prefer doing a few outfits at a time just because you never know when the weather will change and make it hard to take pictures!

Great outfit post, I feel the same in winter. Bright colours really make a difference to your mood though! x

Yay! I can’t wait to see how you style all your new goodies. I seriously can’t walk by a J Crew without going in – their stuff is AMAZING.

    • Baubles to Bubbles March 22, 2013 at 1:03 pm #

I’m excited to style them, too! J.Crew is an addiction. It is IMPOSSIBLE to walk by and not go in!

Hahaha we’re total twins! I’m constantly cold and complain about it all the time! I seriously wish I lived somewhere that’s warm most of the year, California would be perfect! I love your bright sweater and necklace (duh! I’m just as addicted to J.Crew as you)!

Haha I’m glad I’m not alone, Jen! I know I complain about it all the time, but it’s terrible! California weather would be AMAZING! Luckily you have your Hawaii trip to look forward to 🙂 Don’t you wish you could just have a lifetime of free J.Crew? I do!

This really is the never ending winter I swear! See, THIS is how to rock neon. I feel like so many girls go overboard and end up looking like they’ve just rolled around the school-supplies aisle at Target. You, however, look classy and chic with just the right amount of springtime color! Also those shoes are to die for.

    • Baubles to Bubbles March 22, 2013 at 3:58 pm #

Haha I love your neon analogy about the school supply aisle! So true! I’m glad you think I pulled off neon the right way! Some people really do go overboard with it, and it’s just too much. The shoes were $26, so I knew I had to get them!

Digging the pants! I have yet to find leather or vegan leather pants to invest in. Nice work, those would go with everything, especially this spring’s black and white 🙂 Also loved reading that your mom takes your pictures, that is so fun! Wish my mom lived closer to me, so she could be my assistant, ha.

    • Baubles to Bubbles March 22, 2013 at 4:21 pm #

Thank you! I got lucky and found mine at H&M for like $35, which is a steal! I wear them in so many outfit pictures, but they really do go with everything, and I love the way they look. It’s nice having someone to take my pictures. It makes it a lot easier that my mom can help me out with it!

Look at you rockin’ that pink! So pretty! 🙂 Really love this outfit. I have shoes identical to yours, I love them!

    • Baubles to Bubbles March 23, 2013 at 11:12 am #

Thank you! I’m so excited to start wearing spring colors. Aren’t those shoes so cute? I feel like they go with everything.

Amazing photos! The contrast of the pink with black leather makes for such a powerful and unique fashion statement. You don’t just wear leather pants, you live leather pants.
