Gray Day

Gap Heathered Sweater Light Gray

Today’s outfit pretty much sums up this entire week: gray. It feels like we’ve gotten more snow in the past week than all of last winter, which means I’ll probably be hibernating in my house the next few months. In between snowstorms, I ventured out to the mall (twice) for some retail therapy. I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ve been obsessed with Gap lately. I had kind of avoided shopping there most of college, but lately it’s one of my first stops when I go shopping. You really can’t beat their versatile basics. I’ve been on somewhat of a sweater binge lately, and have worn my Gap sweaters out on the weekend and to work every day. Don’t even get me started on the sales they seem to be having every single day. Seriously, if you haven’t shopped there in awhile, you’ll be impressed!

This sweater was part of my “retail therapy” trip last weekend, and I’ve already worn it twice to work this week (feel free to judge me). The inescapable snow mixed with the fact that this sweater feels like a blanket makes it almost impossible to take it off!

    Cute outfit!
The snow looks lovely, I’m quite surprised at how much there is as I’m so used to your photos from the Spring/Summer! I’ve never seen snow like this before in my life it’s quite exciting!

Thank you! This was definitely the biggest one we’ve had in awhile! It was so pretty at first, but after it’s around a few days, it’s not as cute. It’s perfect for pictures, though!

This outfit is one of my favorite – you can’t beat mixing and matching a bunch of amazing basics (and yes I totally think leather leggings count as a basic 😉 )

Thanks Christy! I think they’re a basic too 🙂 And I am all about the basics in this freezing weather.

Wow, you did get a lot of snow! We barely got anything (mostly melted now) but temperatures have been crazy. I love your outfit! The sweater looks so comfy – I bought 2 sweaters from Ann Taylor recently and had to stop myself from getting more. We’ll blame it on the cold 😉

Thanks Grace! Oh, we got a TON. I’m surprised you didn’t get that much. I keep hearing this is going to be a rough winter, so I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

I love this outfit- those booties are too cute!

I know what you mean about feeling a bit gray- it’s hard to reach for bright, vibrant colors when it’s soooo bloody cold outside; gray and black just feel more appropriate. 🙂

Thanks Ashley! Agreed, it’s all about the gray and black lately! I feel like we’re getting snow now a few times a week- it’s insane! Hope you’re staying warm 🙂

Thanks Stephanie! It snowed a ton! Luckily a lot of it melted, but there’s more on the way 😦
