Forever 21 Mod Checkered Dress

I’m finally back after taking a much-needed break the week of Christmas! Now that I’m an “adult”, I’m realizing that the holidays are a lot more stressful than when I was younger. It’s also an exhausting time. I think I’ve laid in my bed more this past week than I have the past year. I’m a warm weather girl, so now that Christmas is over I’m looking forward to spring.

Forever 21 Mod Shift Dress

Baublebar Emerald Cut Necklace

I wore this mod dress for Christmas Day festivities. The best part of this dress? I got it for $20 at Forever 21! I basically lived at Forever 21 in college. There was a really nice one in Dayton that had everything you could ever need on a college budget. I’ll admit that I don’t really shop there anymore. Now that I’m in the real world, I don’t mind spending a little extra on something that’s going to hold up for a long time. That being said, I’ll still occasionally pop into Forever 21 to do a quick run through. I found this checkered mod shift dress a few weeks ago, and headed straight to the cash register. The quality is amazing, and it’s so flattering on! It’s dresses like this that remind me of the amazing gems you can find if you have the patience to look.

Chocolate Fountain

P.S.- I mentioned last week about our food-heavy Christmas traditions. I remembered to snap a picture of our chocolate fountain we bring out for Christmas Eve. As  predicted, I spent a little too much time near it throughout the night.

SO true about having the patience to look; what a great find! The dress is totally mod, but I love how you added the emerald jewels to make it festive! (And also, that chocolate fountain looks dangerous! I’d find any excuse to dip just about any Christmas treat in there! lol)

Love this dress. I don’t shop in F21 as much any either, but like you said with the occasional run through you can still find some pretty amazing pieces…like your dress. You look great.

I love this dress! It is definitely flattering on you and it’s such a fun pattern. I pop into Forever 21 occasionally but generally avoid them – however, I did buy one of my favorite denim jackets there. LIke your dress, the quality was great.
p.s. The chocolate fountain looks amazing! I want one now 🙂
