I think the official sign that it’s fall is that all the leaves are starting to fall. It looks so pretty right now, and I wish it could just stay this way and skip the part where all the colors go away for winter. This is the perfect weather to start wearing your favorite fall outfits without having to worry about too much layering (yet). For me, this meant wearing this new plaid boyfriend shirt from Trend Boutique. I actually bought it over a month ago, but it’s been so warm that I’ve had to patiently wait to wear it. It’s been worth the wait, though.

Most of my clothes have a structured fit, so the boyfriend style top is not something I’m used to wearing. I wanted to do something out of my fashion norm, and it also helped that it was extremely comfortable and easy to move in! I’m always trying to dress things up, so adding this top with my faux leather pants seemed like a no-brainer. Of course, I had to add baubles, so I went with a fancy J.Crew statement necklace. Yes, those are the Vince Camuto heels I’ve worn in almost every post the past month. I can’t help myself.

On Saturday night, I hosted a private shopping event at Trend Boutique here in Cincinnati. I’m a girl who likes to shop and drink champagne, so when you put the two of them together I will be there in a heartbeat! The lovely ladies at Trend sure know how to throw an event. They had champagne, appetizers, and of course all the cute clothes you expect in a boutique. I bought the cutest baby blue coat that I cannot wait to wear on the blog soon! It was a fun experience getting to shop and socialize after store hours. I love getting the chance to switch up my routine, and I think a night of shopping with friends is a great way to do that. A private shopping party can be the perfect solution to so many girlfriend get-togethers: bachelorette party, birthday party, anniversary, or just needing an excuse to have a relaxing night with your friends!

The girls at Trend are always open to host a private shopping party for you and your friends, and would love to hear from you! If you’re interested, or want more information, email: courtney@trendcincinnati.com or stephanie@trendcincinnati.com!

I love that top – you know me, I’m a sucker for boyfriend and loose tops. I have way too many in my closet but they are so comfortable! And those pants are amazing.
