Week In Review

4 Sep

There are some weeks that fly by, and then there was this week. What. a. week. I think when you’re anticipating the weekend the work week moves even slower than usual. My boyfriend is coming to town today, so I’ve been eager for Friday to arrive. I’m surprising him with a dinner tonight at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse downtown. He’s been going through a stressful move, so I thought it would be a nice treat, especially since he always insists on picking up the bill.

I can’t believe it’s Labor Day weekend, but I’m just going to ignore the “last weekend of summer” concept the next few days. Hope everyone has a nice, long weekend!

It only makes sense to whip up a fruity cocktail this weekend. Pretty soon, these fruits won’t be relevant for the season (sad face)! That’s why this pineapple mojito recipe sounds intriguing. I’m loving the pineapple and mint garnishes, too.

If you’re looking to do some shopping, this is the weekend. There are so many sales going on in-stores and online, so it’s the perfect excuse for a little retail therapy. I was just at Nordstrom last night, and there was a ton on sale! I’m kind of loving these bright yellow pumps.

Does anyone else love looking at dream closets as much as I do? I know they’ll always just be a dream, but it’s crazy to see how many unique closets there are out there. I fall in love with one, and then find one even cooler. It’s addicting. This Huffington Post article should give you some closet motivation!

Oh my gosh – those closets are like a dream come true. I can’t even imagine having a beautiful place like that to store everything – I especially liked the one with a window. Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy that steakhouse!
