Where To Shop: Trend Boutique

Trend Boutique Cincinnati

I stopped into Trend Boutique recently to check out their latest pieces, and get some fall inspiration. If you’ve followed my blog for awhile, you may remember me talking about the boutique and styling my favorite pieces from the store.

Bralettes Trend Boutique Cincinnati

These bralettes were screaming my name. I especially loved this cobalt one!

I also did a little Q + A with Stephanie, the owner of Trend, to get the low down on everything you would want to know!

Q. What are some of your favorite pieces you offer at Trend? Anything particularly unique people should know about?
A. I like a lot of our basic pieces right now.  I’m a mom of two boys, 4 years and almost 2 years old.  I spend the majority of my time in our basic pieces paired with leggings or jeans and booties.
Q. Any notable brands you love?
A. For clothing lines, I love Gentle Fawn, Coin 1804, and Basically Me.  These lines are all very different from each other, but they each have unique elements that I love.  For jewelry, Flocktails is my favorite.  The designer is from Cincinnati, and all of the pieces are handmade, lightweight, and she often incorporates leather into each piece.
Q. What sets Trend apart from other stores?
A. Three things.
1. Like many boutiques, you’ll find brands in our store that you won’t see at the larger stores.  As a result, you’ll find more unique items and won’t see the item you purchased at Trend on tons of other people around the city.
2. There’s a misconception that all boutiques are expensive.  We’re not.  Our favorite fall pieces are under $45, and almost everything in our store is under $100.
3. We sell online and ship our orders within 24 hours. Many of our local customers are surprised that we sell online.  We’ve been selling online for over 5 years, we’ve shipped to 42 of the 50 states, and we’ve even shipped to Australia, Canada, and France.
Q. Now that fall fashion is in full force, what are some of your favorite trends you’re seeing?
A. Fringe, plaid, and textured elements like leather, suede, and faux fur.  The great thing about these trends is that you can buy a statement piece like a suede dress, leather skirt, or faux fur vest.  But, if you’re not ready to commit to a statement piece, there are a lot of basic pieces that subtly incorporate these trends.  For example, a basic black shirt with leather elbow patches or a neutral clutch with fringe.
Q. Anything else?
A. Trend is open 7 days a week, and you can shop with us online anytime.  We will open our doors for a private shopping experience outside of our normal hours with an appointment, and we also offer a personal shopping service.  If you need pieces for a special event or need gift ideas, just send me an email (stephanie@trendcincinnati.com), and I’ll send you links to suggested items that you can purchase from our web store or pick up in store.  It’s such an easy and convenient service for our busy customers.

Sequin Shorts

I wore these sparkly shorts for a photoshoot once, and they are the best! Usually sequins and comfort don’t go together, but these were sparkly comfortable heaven.

My first stop when I shop at Trend is always the accessories table. There’s always new pieces to discover.

Have any of you shopped at Trend before? If you’re in the Cincinnati area, stop by!
