Fall Jewels + A GIVEAWAY

17 Oct

Grey Fitted Turtleneck

Long time no blog! I feel like 2016 has been one big hiatus for me, but my schedule got crazy again the past few weeks. When my calendar started filling up at the beginning of the year, I already knew October was going to be my busiest month. Well, here we are mid-month, and it’s just as insane as I predicted. Last week was spent in sunny Orlando for a real estate conference. It was about 90% work and 10% fun, but if you’ve ever been to a conference you know it’s 0% downtime to get stuff done. We tacked on an extra day after the conference for lounging, which was much-needed and incredible. Next up on my whirlwind October agenda? The Cutler Real Estate awards banquet in Canton later this week, a weekend trip to Cleveland for Joe’s birthday and then one of my best friend’s weddings that I’m in the following weekend. Just typing all that made the panic set in. Sure, most of it is fun stuff, but all that traveling can wear a girl out!

Tara Lea Smith Jewelry

Uniqlo Turtleneck

I’m starting the week with some fresh fall baubles. I recently met up with my friend Tara Lea Smith to see the gorgeous pieces she’s been creating the past year. If you want me to paint a pretty (and sparkly) picture, when I got home I immediately laid all of the necklaces across my bed to start doing some outfit brainstorming. Yes, I have so many new pieces that they took up my entire bed. I’m excited to share them with you over the next few months!

First up is this colorful purple, pink and yellow statement maker. It’s actually been pretty warm here, which is totally cool with me. I decided to keep it warm on top and breezy on the bottom, pairing a fitted grey turtleneck with a pleated leather skirt. I also recently rediscovered these mules that I got back in spring and had totally forgotten about. Score!

A Shopping Spree Giveaway!

Cincinnati Fashion Bloggers

A couple of weekends ago, the Thread Cincinnati ladies were invited to spend the day at the Cincinnati Premium Outlets, and it was a treat. Anytime you get fashion bloggers together to go shopping, it’s bound to be a good time.

One of my favorite parts of the day was getting the chance to shop for an outfit from the mall. All of us were on a mission as we powered through all the different stores on the prowl for what outfit we were going to buy . I’ll be posting what I bought in a separate blog post this week, but I think I did pretty good! I actually wore the outfit I bought to Dayton over the weekend, and it was perfect for the occasion.

After our day out at outlet mall, Simon Premium Outlets kindly gave each of us a $50 gift card to giveaway on our blogs. That’s right, you can win one of SEVEN gift cards up for grabs. With seven prizes, the more you enter the higher your chances are of winning! The gift cards can be used at any Simon Premium Outlet, but if you’re anywhere near the Cincinnati location, I highly recommend checking out what they have to offer.

To enter, simply follow this link to the Rafflecopter and fill out your entry. We will be announcing the winner Saturday on our Thread Facebook page.

Good luck!

My New Favorite Top + A GIVEAWAY!

21 Dec

Anthropologie Wool Cotton Top

Ladies, I know you will understand my excitement when I say I’ve found my “new favorite top“. Sure, we probably all have like ten tops we’d consider to be our “favorite”, but I can tell you that right now this is mine.

Anthropologie Ruffle Hem Top

We first met when I walked in the Anthropologie fashion show last month. During my fitting, I tried on different outfits that the Anthro girls pulled for me. I was pretty impressed when I saw this ruffled top in my dressing room. It’s totally my style, and fit like a glove when I put it on.

Anthropologie Ruffled Top

Dark Skinny Jeans with Anthropologie Top

It has a layered look to it, but this is one top. The grey sweater portion is wool, and the rest is made of cotton. What I love is that it has a nice stretch to it, too. I wore a few looks in the show, but this was my favorite. A few people came up to me afterward and insisted that I needed to buy this top, and I happily obliged. It’s perfectly feminine, and has the potential to be casual or dressy.

Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace

While I could go on and on, it’s time for the fun part of today’s post! See this Kendra Scott Rayne necklace I’m wearing? It could be YOURS if you enter the giveaway I’m hosting with Kendra Scott!

To enter, all you have to do is follow me on Instagram and “like” the Kendra Scott Cincinnati Facebook page! Be sure to follow this link so you confirm that you entered. The giveaway is open until midnight Thursday. Good luck!  Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace

Wrap Dress + Jewelry GIVEAWAY!

16 Mar

Michael Kors Wrap Dress

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I can’t complain that it’s Monday. The weather was amazing over the weekend, and it’s supposed to be in the 70s in Cincinnati today. I’ll take it! Other than working, my weekend was pretty quiet, and I loved it. I had planned on going out for St. Patrick’s Day Saturday night, but ended up going to a relaxing dinner with my parents at Kaze. Sometimes you just can’t muster up the energy to go out like you used to.

I’m also excited it’s Monday because I get to introduce you to an incredibly talented jewelry designer. Founded in 2005, Kirstin Eismin is the artist behind Funky Artsy, a jewelry line that also doubles as wearable art. Her handmade pieces are made of bold colors and unique shapes, making these accessories stand out from the crowd. One of my favorite things about Kirstin’s designs is that you can find pieces for all occasions. Make a statement in an eye-catching multi-colored necklace, or layer a druzy agate bracelet with your other arm candy.

For today’s post, I’m wearing what might be the most comfortable dress I own. This Michael Kors faux wrap dress looks like I put in a lot of effort, but really it feels like I’m wearing pajamas. I love when you find something that just fits like a glove, and makes you feel so comfortable. Not only am I accessorizing with a purple Funky Artsy bracelet today, but I’m also giving one away to you!

All you have to do to enter is follow this Rafflecopter link, and one of these bracelets could be yours! I absolutely love druzy stones, and think they are so understated and elegant. I’ve gotten many compliments on this bracelet, and it looks great alone or with other bracelets!

Catching Up + A GIVEAWAY!

2 Feb

Hello, and Happy Monday! I had planned on publishing some posts while I was in Cleveland last Thursday-Sunday, but my boyfriend’s Internet was down pretty much the entire time. It was a little stressful at first, but also nice to spend some time offline and with my boyfriend who I don’t get to see a lot. Eating is one of our favorite things to do together, and we did a lot of it while I was visiting. My stomach is nice and full from some good Cleveland eats. It was pretty snowy while I was up there, so we obviously didn’t spend too much time outside. I was able to capture this colorful shot my first night in, though.

Today’s post consists of a “please” and a “thank you“.

First, I’ll start with a “please“. I found out last week that I was nominated in the City Beat Best of Cincinnati Readers Poll for Best Blog! Blogging has become such a big part of my life, and it’s amazing to have an outlet to share the things that I love. If you have a moment, I’d appreciate your vote for Baubles to Bubbles! All you have to do is click this link, register and vote. Don’t worry, you can opt out of emails ;). The blogging category I’m nominated in is under the “Public Eye” section. You don’t have to cast a vote for each section, but you must vote for a minimum of 10. Simple as that! Thank you so much for your support.

Everything But The House + A Giveaway!

21 Jan

Happy Hump Day, everyone! I’m excited about today’s post for a number of reasons: 1. it involves some of my favorite designers (think Chanel, Kate Spade and Louis Vuitton), 2. I can browse and bid on items from said designers without getting out of bed, and 3. this amazing company that combines the previous two points is based out of my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Everything But The House

Everything But The House is an online auction website that helps people get connected with estate sales across the country. EBTH started in Cincinnati, but has expanded to Columbus, Nashville, Lexington, Louisville and Indianapolis. This year they’ll be entering Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, the Gulf Coast of Florida, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. Pretty impressive, right?!

I actually created an account last summer when I was moving out to live with my friends. Since I wanted to leave my bedroom intact at my parents house, I had to buy all new furniture. To make this task a little less daunting (and expensive), I wanted to search for some previously used pieces that I could make my own. It was really fun getting to put bids in on items I fell in love with, and just discovering new pieces every day. What’s cool is that there is a sale going on for virtually every item you can think of. It’s nice that you can do all your searching in one place, and not have to take a chance on a flea market that can be hit or miss. Let’s be honest, sometimes we just don’t want to get out of bed while we hunt for a one-of-a-kind vintage bag. Whether you’re looking to sell or bid, EBTH makes the whole process really stress free and easy. Everything on the site is neatly categorized, which makes looking for items to bid on really simple. I’ve been spending most of my time in the jewelry section recently (because where else would I be?) ;).

And now for the really fun part of today’s post…a GIVEAWAY! You can enter to win a $50 gift certificate to EBTH, and bid on your own favorite items!

The entry rules are simple: visit the EBTH website, and comment on this post with an item you discovered and love! Yes, it’s as simple as that. You can also get additional entries by following EBTH on social media:  Facebook Instagram Pinterest.

Below are some items I found while browsing the recent sales, and I have to admit, I’m kind of freaking out over the vintage Chanel. It’s a beauty.

Vintage Chanel Purse

How good would this white vintage Gucci belt look with an all-black outfit. Talk about a statement piece!

Vintage Gucci Belt

I’m a sucker for a simple handbag, and this black Ferragamo fits the bill perfectly. Plus, I love gold hardware!

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own. As always, thank you so much for reading!

Perforated Details + A GIVEAWAY!

1 May

J.Crew Red Perforated Shirt with Baublebar Necklace

I know a few days ago I was talking about how I haven’t been wearing as much jewelry lately. Of course, I’m clearly backtracking on these statements (which I predicted would happen) with today’s outfit. I realize I was kind of ragging on jewelry the other day, and now I feel bad. Maybe it was just the fact that I wasn’t feeling very inspired with my jewelry collection lately. Today, I’ve snapped out of it. Jewelry is like the friend that you might not see very often, but you know you can always rely on. I have so much jewelry that a lot of times I forget what I have. When I come across an old favorite though, I always know it will add some life to any outfit I’m wearing. That’s how I’m feeling about this BaubleBar necklace. I’ve had it for a few months, but it gets lost in the shuffle a lot. I’m glad I found it though, because sometimes you need to rely on the accessories to do the talking!

BaubleBar Statement Necklace

Today I’m celebrating my 200th post on Baubles to Bubbles! I know this is kind of a random milestone, but it feels kind of crazy to think that I’ve published 200 posts on here. I still remember how stressed I was for months when I started my blog back in 2012. It’s amazing to think of how much I’ve learned and all the people I’ve met through doing this. My biggest fear was that I would never learn everything it takes to have a blog. Luckily, I did, and I am so happy with my decision to keep plugging along!

In honor of my 200th post, I’m hosting my first giveaway! I can’t believe I’ve never done one before, but I think this first one will be a good one. Today, I’ll be giving one lucky reader a $50 Nordstrom gift card!

$1,000 ShopStyle Giveaway!

6 Sep

Today I’m excited to share with you a fun new feature on ShopStyle.com! For those who aren’t familiar with ShopStyle, it is a social shopping website that offers all your favorite fashion and beauty products in one place.

I’ve partnered with ShopStyle to test out their new product review feature. I was very impressed with how simple it was to write reviews on your favorite (or not so favorite) products! I’m one of those people who does extensive research on a product before I buy it. I sift through people’s reviews to see what they like or didn’t like about it to help me make a decision. That’s why I like that ShopStyle added this feature, because I do my online shopping through their site. It’s going to be much easier now to see what people have to say about a particular product right on ShopStyle, instead of browsing the Internet!

The review process is very simple. Begin by signing into ShopStyle and searching for a product. Once you find the product you’re looking for, hover over the product and click on the stars. You will be redirected to the product page, which is where you click on the “Write a Review” button. Once the “Write a Review” page loads, you are free to write your review. There’s even a “Preview Your Review” button you can use before it is published. Once you’re happy with your review, hit the “Publish Your Review” button, and you’re good to go!

To celebrate this new feature, ShopStyle is giving away $1,000 to one lucky reviewer! Just sign into ShopStyle and review the products you have in your closet. Each review is worth one entry, so feel free to review as many products as you’d like! Talk about simple!

Bows & Chevron

5 Sep

Bow Blouse Chevron Shorts

You may remember these high waisted chevron shorts from this post earlier this summer. Today I decided to pair them with this bow blouse from Forever 21. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but this blouse might be one of my best purchases from Forever 21. I got it my senior year of college, and love that I can wear it year round. Since it was only $20, I’d definitely say I’ve gotten my money’s worth!

Black and White Bow Chevron Outfit

Black and White Chevron Shorts

It’s hard to see in these pictures, but I picked up this L’Oreal metallic gold nail polish the other day, and I’m really liking it! I think I’ll wear it a lot in the fall, especially with darker clothes. The metallic will be a good contrast to an all-black outfit.
